float is a handheld cutting and harvesting tool specifically crafted for kelp (macroalgae) cultivation. The lightweight knife is buoyant and remains grippy and secure in use even when wet. The handle is designed to be held in two differnt ways, catering to various cultivation techniques. The narrow, lightweight blade is made of stainless steel – serrated for better cutting of kelp – with a rounded tip to minimize the risk of injury. To add additional buoyancy and better visibility in case of loss, a signal-colored buoy is integrated.
